DIN rail is metal rail which used for installation of electrical and electronic equipment inside the cabinets and racks. Prefix of DIN means that it’s according to specification of DIN standard (Deutsches Institut für Normung).
Application:
- Mechanical support for circuit breakers, relays, contactors etc.
- Also sometime provide a chassis grounding connection.
We have below types of Rail Channels:
- DIN Rail - Top hat section (Ω or O):
Application: used for installation of circuit breakers, relays, contactors, surge protection, motor soft starters, PLCs, modular sockets, terminals etc.
Size (mm): 35x7.5 and 35x15
- DIN Rail - C section (e.g. C20, C30, C40, C50 etc.)
Note1: At Cxx, xx is the vertical height of the rail in mm.
- DIN Rail - G section
Application: used for heavy and high power equipment.
Rail Material:
- Carbon steel (zinc plated or chromated)
- Stainless steel, CRC (corrosion resistance classes)
- Aluminium
