When you win the project based on your technical offer and considering your commercial proposal as well, first of all, the preparation of engineering documents begins. Preparation and editing of documents will continue during the course of a project. The last stage of the project also will be the finalization of the documents!
Generally we have two types of documents:
- A) Manufacturers documents
- B) Contractors documents (consultant, EPC contractor)

B.3 Detail design
Below you can find some common documents which must be prepared and updated by contractors step by step:
- Document list and index
- Project execution statement
- Project engineering philosophy
- Diagrams (block diagram, single line diagram)
- Calculations (depend on the system)
- Reports (inspection report, progress report, site activities report)
- Data sheets
- Equipment list (main parts, 2&5 years spare parts)
- Plot plans (equipment location, dimension, installation, cabling, wiring, etc.)
- Installation documents
- Test documents (FAT, SAT)
- Commissioning documents
- Operation documents
- Training documents
