In this difficult situation created by COVID 19, daily health control and physical condition becomes more important.
How it works:
As you know in the past we used the conventional mercury thermometers. They did not have a high measuring speed and accuracy and its use often required physical contact and touching the human body.
The next generation of thermometer (even digital) had a steel probe (in order to sampling) for touching the objects. Such as food, water and other objects. But infrared thermometers measure the temperature based on the infrared energy radiated by the forehead or eardrum.
The advantage of digital infrared thermometers are as below:
How to use:
1- Point the thermometer to the centre of the forehead and keep it vertically (To prevent measurement error by hair or clothing)
2- Sweat on the skin must be dried before measurement (a lot of heat is dissipated by sweating)
3- In outdoor usage, it’s better to measure the parts of body covered by clothing. Such us the wrist or neck.
4- For more accuracy, you can perform multiple measurement and consider the average.
Most of the thermometer also measure the objects (surfaces) and environment such as rooms, baby milk and water or even some products can measure freezers, windows, pizza stones, etc.
