104: Stand alone fire detectors for small residential area

Many small residential areas, especially older houses and apartments, do not have a fire alarm system. Forcing owners or their occupants to install fire alarm systems is difficult and sometimes impossible.

Residential stand-alone fire detectors may not cover all requirement for fire safety according to fire standards, but at least with a reasonable budget residents can have a safer area! The high number of domestic fires, casualties and damages confirm the importance of using fire detectors.

It should be noted that most of the residential fire are occurred between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. which occupants are resting at home or asleep. Our sense of smell does not work while sleeping and we often find out when it's too late!

The most important causes of house fires:

  • Cigarettes
  • Wood stoves
  • Kerosene heaters
