Automatic self-service laundries (Selbstbedienungswaschsalons) in Austria which called also laundromats (Münzwäscherei) can be found in all major cities in various Austrian provinces. They are very useful and practical for the following groups:

• Tourists
• Newcomers to Austria whose place of residence has not yet been determined
• Students or employees who do not have washing machines in their dormitories or shared houses (WG)
• Those whose washing machine becomes defective for a short period of time.
