Fire ball:
To extinguish or control of small fires, apart from handheld, wheeled, aerosol and fire blanket extinguishers, you can throw or roll a fire ball extinguishers into fire! Extinguishing effect is usually a radius ranging between 4 and 5 meters (depend on the product)

Components:
- Outer casing / Ball shell: The material of outer casing must react to heat and flame quickly and burst to release its extinguishing agent.
- Glass (early types)
- Foam casing wrapped in PVC
- Agent: Extinguishing agent is typically dry chemical powder such as mono ammonium phosphate which is suitable for fire classes of A, B and C.
- Trigger/Activator strip: It's embedded inside the ball and hold the fire agent. When the heat reaches to the trigger, the ball bursts and the powder disperses and spreads around it.
Notes:
- To notify or alert the people nearby, usually there is an audible alarm or loud noise inside the ball.
- We cannot replace fire ball extinguisher with other standard But we can use them as an additional protection.
Advantages:
- Maintenance free
- No need to special training or skill
- Extinguishing with distance from the fire
- In some types after expiration date you can use the extinguishing agent (mono ammonium phosphate, mixed with water) as a garden fertilizer!
Disadvantage:
- Activation without control (only with flame and heat)
- Limited coverage area and the need for high numbers in large areas
- Not re-chargeable
