297: Austrian currency

The official currency of Austria in different periods was as follows:

  • 1919-1925 => Krone (K)
  • 1925-1938 => Schilling (S or öS, ATS)
  • 1938-1945 => Reichsmark (RM)
  • 1945-2002 => Schilling (S or öS, ATS)
    • Austria adopt the Euro on 1 January, 1999
    • After 3 years transitional period, Schilling ended on 28 February, 2002.
  • 2002-now => Euro (€, EUR)

2- Shilling notes and coins:

3- Reichsmark banknotes and coins:
